New CRPUSD Principals

Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified Names Three New Principals

Three schools in Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District (CRPUSD) have new
leaders with the following principal appointments: Lynzie Brodhun, Principal, Thomas Page Academy;
Christina Lunde, Principal, University Elementary School; and Kathleen Olmsted, Principal, Monte Vista
Elementary School.

Thomas Page Academy welcomes a familiar face in Lynzie Brodhun, who has served as the
school’s assistant principal since 2018. She began her educational career as a teacher in Novato Unified
and joined CRPUSD as assistant principal at Laurence Jones Middle School in 2016. Ms. Brodhun earned
her bachelor’s degree from Vanguard University of Southern California, her teaching credential from
Dominican University in San Rafael. Her master’s degree in educational leadership was conferred by San
Francisco State University.

Ms. Brodhun was recognized by the California State Senate in 2011 for her work with English
Language Learners.

Christina Lunde is new to CRPUSD as principal of University Elementary School and brings 25
years of education experience. She spent much of her career at Novato Unified School District as a
teacher in grades 2-5 before she transitioned to an assistant project consultant for the Marin County
Office of Education in 2016. In that role, she planned and managed multiple projects, programs, and
grants including the New Teacher Induction Program, and the History-Social Science Framework.

CSU Chico is where Ms. Lunde earned her bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials, and she
earned her master’s degree in educational leadership from San Francisco State. Her personal passion is
getting children and adult learners outside in the natural environment to connect human and natural

Monte Vista Elementary School principal Kathleen Olmsted is new to CRPUSD but not to
Sonoma County, where she has spent her entire career. She most recently worked at Santa Rosa City
Schools as a principal and then as the coordinator of state and federal programs. She’s also served as an
assistant principal, special education coordinator and a speech and language therapist in districts in the

Ms. Olmsted is a graduate of University of the Pacific where she earned her bachelor’s and
master’s degrees. She most recently designed, directed, and performed the lessons for the Creating
Curiosity: Out The Front Door remote learning tv series during Covid19.
