While charging fees for non-ELO-P-eligible students is permissible under ASES, CRPUSD is committed to providing no-cost programs to all students enrolled at any of the five sites above. Fees will apply for non-qualifying students during breaks, non-student days, and summer, as these are not covered under the ASES grant.
Any TK-8 student participating in Attendance Recovery will have no fees for the duration of the day.
Who Qualifies for ELO-P (Priority Access)
Students in grades TK-6 qualify for ELO-P if they meet one or more of the following:
- Qualify for free or reduced-price meals
- Are a foster youth
- Are experiencing homelessness
- Are designated as an English Learner
Per grant requirements, priority access and registration is given to all ELO-P qualifying students.
Maintaining eligibility: Eligibility must be renewed annually. To keep your status current, please complete the Education Benefit Form and the McKinney-Vento form in PowerSchool for each child enrolled in CRPUSD.
Attendance
Students enrolled in ELO-P or ASES-funded programs are expected to attend each day they're registered, you may select only the day care is needed. Illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, religious observances, and school events are excused; please notify your onsite director if your child will be absent.
Because enrolled-but-absent students occupy spots that could go to waitlisted families, consistent attendance matters. Students who miss 5 days within a 30-day period will be removed from the program.
Priority is also given to students who need full-time care (5 days per week), consistent with grant requirements.
Day-to-Day Program Details
- Early pick-up (before 6:00 PM) is allowed, but a reason must be indicated at sign-out.
- Students must be signed in and out digitally, with an electronic signature.
- Students will complete a student behavior & rules expectations form at the start of each school year.
- Students picked up late (after 6:00 PM) more than once may be subject to dismissal from the program.

- Technology Middle School (grades 6-8)
Unlike traditional recreation programs, our ASES programs incorporate academics, literacy support, STEAM projects along with recreation, active play and physical education. In close collaboration between the YMCA and CRPUSD, we review goals and expectations annually and submit our living document ASES Program Plan every three years to the CRPUSD Board of Education for review and approval.
