Board of Trustees Actions

At its Regular Meeting on March 6, 2012, on a motion by Trustee Orloff, Second by Trustee Pulley and a unanimous vote, the Board of Trustees passed a resolution calling for an election now designated as Measure D. The County Superintendent signed the election notice and all documents were delivered to the County Registrar and County Board of Supervisors.

At a Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees held on February 22, 2012, Charles Heath of TBWB Strategies presented the results of the Feasibility Study and poll conducted by the firm on behalf of the district. The results were discussed by the Parcel Tax Planning Team and the Board of Trustees and a recommendation was made to move forward. The Board of Trustees took the following action on a motion by Trustee Orloff and seconded by Trustee Longmire:

“I move we authorize the superintendent to develop the necessary resolution and supporting documents to call a parcel tax election on June 5, 2012 at a rate of $89 per parcel for a term of five years to support programs consistent with community interest, board policy and district goals, with said resolution and documents to be brought before the board for final approval on or before March 6, 2012.”
