We know that any disruption to the rhythm of school life, even a temporary one, can be stressful, especially during the morning rush when you are trying to get your child to school and yourself to work. We do not take that lightly, and we want to take a moment to explain what is happening, why it matters, and what you can expect in the weeks and months ahead.

Mandated Trainings

Mandated Trainings

All district paid employees are required to complete mandated training courses through our district training platform, Public School Works. 

  1. Mandated Reporter Training (expires annually on June 30th, regardless of completion date)
  2. Sexual Harassment Training - 2 modules (expires every two years from date of completion)
  3. Bloodborne Pathogens Training (expires every year from date of completion)

Each course is approximately 25-55 minutes in length. Depending on your position in the district, you may have additional training. Completion of each training is automatically sent to HR

You will be notified via email when your training is due for renewal, and will have 30 days from the date of the email to complete training.

New employees

You will receive an email for Public School Works when your training is scheduled. Please allow  3-5 business days from your date of hire for HR to set up your training.
 
Username: enter the first letter of your first name added to your last name (e.g. jsmith for Jan Smith)
 
Password: enter the last 4 digits of your phone number
 
If you do not receive an email from Public School Works after 5 business days, please contact HR.
