Districtwide Earthquake Drill – October 16, 2025

Get Ready to ShakeOut!

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, CRPUSD will participate in a districtwide earthquake drill as part of the Great ShakeOut. This important safety exercise is being conducted in partnership with Rohnert Park Public Safety, Cotati Police, Sonoma State University, the City of Cotati, the City of Rohnert Park, and North Bay Security.

The purpose of the drill is to ensure that our students and staff know how to respond quickly and safely in the event of an earthquake.

We are proud to work with our community partners to strengthen safety and preparedness for everyone. Thank you for your support in helping us create a safe learning environment for all students.

Expeditionary Learning (Middle School)

Expeditionary Learning is a program for students in 6th - 8th grades. It offers an exciting curriculum that combines traditional classroom content and skills with real-world problem solving and expeditions outside of the classroom. Connecting academics and real-world expeditions, ExL encourages students to reach their full potential by cultivating intellectual growth, character, and confidence. Our students strive for academic excellence; work both independently and in teams; create innovative solutions to real-world problems; develop environmental, cultural, and social awareness; and engage in conservation and community service projects.

Technology High School

Technology High School is a science, technology, engineering, and math focused college preparatory magnet school. Our vision is to develop critical and creative thinking skills within students in a small learning community environment. Key program components include: project-based and applied learning, integrated and thematic instruction and teamwork. In its short history, the school has been selected as a California Distinguished School every year of eligibility, recognized as one of the best high schools in America by the U.S. News and World Report and a Magna Award winner by the American School Board Journal. Technology High School was named 2021 National Blue Ribbon School in the category for Exemplary High Performing School.

Phoenix (High School)

Phoenix is a small school environment within the comprehensive High School. The primary goal of Phoenix High School is to provide a supportive social structure along with academic interventions aimed at keeping students on target for graduation, while preparing them for their future career and college aspirations. Additionally, the staff is there to support their emotional needs. Being located on the Rancho Cotate campus means Phoenix students are able to take any course RCHS offers for advanced and enriched study such as upper level math and science, or honors level English and History courses and Phoenix students have access to all RCHS elective courses such as Visual and Performing Arts, Business and Media, World Languages, Career Technical, or Physical Education. Students meeting all graduation requirements will receive a diploma from Rancho Cotate High School.

El Camino High School

El Camino High School uses an innovative, blended learning education model to provide students with the best education possible. Online curriculum is combined with face-to-face instruction for a school experience that fits the needs of each student. This program is designed to support students in need of credit recovery. Class sizes are smaller which allows teachers to provide differentiated instruction. It is focused on encouraging students to make 180° transformations to get back on track for graduation.

Independent Study Program

Our Independent Study program offers a flexible, personalized learning option for students who thrive in alternative learning environments. Designed to meet the same rigorous academic standards as traditional classroom settings, this program supports students who may need scheduling flexibility due to health or unique learning needs. Students receive individualized instruction and support while maintaining a strong connection to their school community.

Home and Hospital Instruction (HHI) Program

The Home and Hospital Instruction (HHI) Program is a state-authorized instructional service designed to provide temporary academic support to students who are unable to attend school due to a verified physical or mental health condition. Instruction is delivered by credentialed teachers and is intended to maintain continuity of the student’s educational program during the period of absence.

English Learner Program

Parents or guardians may choose a language acquisition program that best suits their child (EC Section 310). Language acquisition programs are educational programs designed to ensure English acquisition occurs as rapidly and effectively as possible. They provide instruction to English learners based on the state-adopted academic content standards, including English language development (ELD) standards (20 U.S.C. Section 6312[e][3][A][iii],[v]); EC Section 306[c]).
